Effects of Phosphorus on Nitrification Process in a Fertile Soil Amended with Urea

چکیده

While the effects of carbon on soil nitrogen (N) cycle have been extensively studied, it is not clearly understood how co-existing macronutrients, such as phosphorus (P), affect N in agroecosystems. In this study, P amendment nitrification a fertile agricultural were investigated under typical N-P rate. laboratory incubation soils amended with urea, monopotassium phosphate and mixture urea at same that received no amendments (control), only, plus amendment, occurred within first five days, an average net rate 5.30, 5.77, 16.66 9.00 mg kg−1d−1, respectively. Interestingly, urea-treated was retarded by addition where N:P ratio seemed to be key factor impeding nitrification. This also supported response ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB), which more sensitive than archaea (AOA). The outcome study showed application fertilizer suppressed process soil, suggesting synergistic aspect nutrient management should further explored retard losses from systems.

Fate of manure phosphorus in a weathered sandy clay loam soil amended with three animal manures.

Laboratory incubation was conducted for 120 days to study the fate of phosphorus in poultry (PM), cattle (CM) and goat manures (GM). Phosphorus mineralized from manure was dependent on total P, Al and Fe content. Manures improved P availability in the order: PM>CM>GM; however, the highest amount of P was fixed or immobilized between 10 and 70 days of incubating with CM and GM. Fixation and immo...

Fractionation and mobility of phosphorus in a sandy forest soil amended with biosolids.

GOAL, SCOPE AND BACKGROUND Biosolids, i.e., treated sewage sludge, are commonly used as a fertilizer and amendment to improve soil productivity. Application of biosolids to meet the nitrogen (N) requirements of crops can lead to accumulation of phosphorus (P) in soils, which may result in P loss to water bodies. Since 1996, biosolids have been applied to a Pinus radiata D. Don plantation near N...

Dynamics of a pasture soil microbial community after deposition of cattle urine amended with [13C]urea.

Within grazed pastures, urine patches are hot spots of nitrogen turnover, since dietary N surpluses are excreted mainly as urea in the urine. This short-term experiment investigated 13C uptake in microbial lipids after simulated deposition of cattle urine at 10.0 and 17.1 g of urea C m(-2). Confined field plots without or with cattle urine amendment were sampled after 4 and 14 days, and soil fr...

critical period effects in foreign language learning:the influence of maturational state on the acquisition of reading, writing, and grammar in english as a foreign language

since the 1960s the age effects on learning both first and second language have been explored by many linguists and applied linguists (e.g lennerberg, 1967; schachter, 1996; long, 1990) and the existence of critical period for language acquisition was found to be a common ground of all these studies. in spite of some common findings, some issues about the impacts of age on acquiring a second or...
